I have been a member of the
BR&CF since 1996. I started
obtaining members in 1999 and in
August of 2002 I was appointed
Terminal President of Dupo,
Illinois. In October 2002, I was
appointed to the position of
Director and was elected to the
position at the 2003 Annual
Meeting of the Members. In
September 2004, I was appointed
Assistant International
Secretary-Treasurer and was
elected to the position in 2005.
I was elected International
Secretary-Treasurer in 2006 and
continue to serve in that
capacity today. After my
election in 2005, my family and
I relocated from Troy, Il, to
the Harrisburg area to begin
working out of the Principal
Office.
I hired out on the Chicago &
NorthWestern (C&NW) in January
of 1995 at South Pekin,
Illinois, as a
brakeman/conductor. Shortly
thereafter, I was forced to work
out of Proviso (Chicago),
Illinois. I entered engine
service in January of 1996, and
as a result of the merger of the
C&NW and Union Pacific, I
transferred to St. Louis in
September of 1996.
In 1988, at the age of eighteen,
I enlisted in the United States
Navy as a Fire Control
Technician for the Spy-1B(V)
radar. I was stationed on the
east and west coast, completing
two six-month deployments. My
first deployment in 1991 took me
to the Persian Gulf on the
aircraft carrier USS Ranger
(CV-61), based out of San Diego.
My second deployment in 1993
placed me off the coast of
Bosnia on the “Aegis” cruiser
USS Vicksburg (CG-69), based out
of Mayport, Florida. I received
numerous medals and awards
during my six-year tour.
My wife, Michelle, and I, have
two children. My daughter,
Sydney, is twelve years old and
my son, Carson, is eight years
old. I spend my spare time
coaching Carson’s baseball and
basketball teams and I also
enjoy riding motorcycles and
traveling.
The BR&CF continues to be your best value!
