Shawn C. Sit...

Terminal 47 Longview, TX...

My name is Shawn C. Sit and I work for the Kansas City Southern Railway.  I am thirty-seven years old, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  I started my railroad career in Monroe, Louisiana in September 1993.  I started out as a brakeman/conductor and was quickly promoted to locomotive engineer in May of 1996.  As an engineer, I was forced to move to Shreveport, Lousiana to work the engineer extra board where I now live.  I am a second generation Locomotive Engineer, following in my Dad's footsteps who retired in October 2010.

I am an active BLET member of Division 326.  I became a member of the BR&CF in February 2001 and an obtainer and now Terminal President of Terminal #047.

I have been married to my wife Monica for ten years and have a six year old son named Lane.  They keep me busy and are the highlight of my life.  In my spare time, I enjoy visiting with family and friends, watching football, and traveling.
