Q:  Do you keep my credit card information stored on your computer?

A:  No, we do not store your credit card information on our servers.

Q:  Are my transactions secure?

A:  Yes, the BR&CF has partnered with a third party to process credit card transactions. Our partner provides a secure server with an encryption certificate so your credit card information can be safely transmitted over the Web. Transmission over the Web of your personal information is done via Secure Socket Layers (SSL). Look for “https” in the web address and the padlock symbol on your browser indicating a secure connection.

Q:  Why do you ask for the Credit Card Security Code?

A:  Our process asks customers to enter their credit card's security code, also known as the Card Verification Value Code, or CVV. CVV is a new authentication procedure established by credit card companies, designed to prevent credit card fraud. Entering the security code verifies possession of the card itself. The CVV code now appears on most (but not all) major credit and debit cards. Each credit card company has its own name for the CVV code, but it functions the same for all major card types. VISA refers to the code as CVV2, MasterCard calls it CVC2. The back panel of most Visa/MasterCard cards contain the full 16-digit account number, followed by the CVV/CVC code. Some banks, though, only show the last four digits of the account number followed by the code. To aid in the prevention of fraudulent credit card use, we now require the 3 or 4 digit code on the back of your credit card. When you submit your credit card information your data is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology certified by a digital certificate. You can view this Certificate on our Site by clicking on the xxxxxxxxxxx Logo.

The CVV security code usually can be found on the back of your credit card. It is a 3-4 digit number printed at the top of the signature strip.

Q: What Information do we collect and how do we use it?

A:
When processing a payment at our website BR&CF must collect your name, billing address, card number, and expiration date to process your transaction.

Q:  How does BR&CF protect member information?

A:  Members who process dues payments at the BR&CF website are utilizing a secure server which encrypts all member personal information.  Excryption ensures that no one can access or use your personal information in an unauthorized manner.
