Announcing
New Minimum Membership Amount
The BR&CF has increased the minimum membership amount to $60.00 per day in benefits. Effective April 21, 2007 new members will only be approved if applying for a minimum of $60.00 per day or greater. Should you decide to increase your current membership and you have less than $60.00 a day in benefits, you will be required to apply for at least the minimum amount necessary to increase your current membership to the minimum requirement of $60.00.
In today's world, less than $60.00 a day (or $7.50 an hour for an eight hour day) in income, doesn't go far. Your membership with the BR&CF is to supplement your family's income when you are disciplined for eligible occurrences. Can you pay your mortgage or rent and feed your family for less than $60.00 a day?
Also, if a member should find it necessary to reduce their membership, while actively working on the railroad, the minimum membership amount after the reduction will be $60.00 per day. Dues required for $60.00 per day is $20.00 for one (1) month, $114.00 for six (6) months or $204.00 for twelve (12) months. ______________________
